Well its better than Sway ... compared to R/Ds, that build requires a PHD in Guildwars competence.

You are SUCH a noob. Everyone knows you don't get famous until r2.

WTB nerf on strength of honor - make it trigger off physical damage. Oh and put up the recharge on wounding strike to at least 8s ffs... covered deep wound on every target you touch is almost as dumb as doing 100 damage per hit. Oh, wait...

But hey, at least that build runs real monks. And sometimes a real mesmer or a water ele, so it has positions that take skill to play. For sway the ratio of brain/fame is just way off... the build is probably even easier to play than old IWAY and it's very unforgiving to the other team.

WTB nerf for sway too... although curiously enough I can't point at one specific thing that's broken about sway. Well, other than scythes, but anet isn't going to touch that.

Meh, I guess I'll study for Polish, German and for the test to get into high school. Oh, and more killing demons in London.

IMO Rending touch is really the only think broken about SWAY. Without rending touch it's just another IWAYesque physical overload build with 3 melee and 2 trappers. Annoying but easy to beat with any competent wanders. But 3x rending touch makes relying on enchants+channeling impossible and requires you to bring all of these other tools that you wouldnt normally need.

Sway's power comes from 2 main things. The spirits and the fact that rangers with blocking are freaking hard to kill.

Sooo if you want a strong build to run against Sway something like spirit of fury and Wild blow go a long way. (and aren't bad skills in their own right).

We all know R15 is gonna be a Dragon/Ghostly hero....but it, of course, would be a lot better if it is going to be a squirrel.

Escape is not the problem... how often do you go for warrors on an opposing balanced team? Sure, you might spike them in frenzy and SWAY doesn't let you do that, but other than that the opposing frontline in both cases is largely left alone.

I agree about rending touch being powerful, but I'm still not convinced that's one thing that would make or break the build.

Escape is certainly part of the problem, but put it into perspective.

The rangers have +100 vs elemental dmg, 75% chance to block physical, 33% faster movement, AoE attack, inflict conditions, and tear through enchantments like no tomorrow. And let us not forget that they also get reduced energy cost on their attack skills.
